GoToMeeting Free Trial

gotomeeting free trialEvery business must control costs, and one of the best ways to do this in the modern Internet age is by taking advantage of the many benefits of web conferencing. This technology costs very little and makes it possible to hold meetings with people all over the world. And because of the many features available on platforms such as GoToMeeting, web conferences can often be just as productive as regular, face-to-face meetings.

There are quite a few options for web conferencing software, but for small to medium-sized businesses, our No. 1 recommendation is GoToMeeting because it is affordable, easy to learn and has many powerful features. To find out if this solution fits your needs, check out the 30-day GoToMeeting free trial below.

For small meetings with up to 100 attendees:

For larger meetings with up to 1000 attendees:

After the 30-day trial period, if you decide to get a regular subscription to GoToMeeting, you will receive an additional $10 off your purchase through the link above. The free trial version allows you to host an unlimited number of meetings during the trial period.

In order to use the free trial, you will be required to provide credit card information. After 30 days, you will be charged a fee for a recurring monthly subscription unless you cancel the trial before it expires. As a courtesy, GoToMeeting does send you a reminder email a few days before your paid subscription starts.

Overall, the free trial for Gotomeeting is quite generous, as not all trials for business software last that long. The Carbonite free trial offer, for example, only lasts 15 days.

Why GoToMeeting?

GoToMeeting is perhaps the most well-known web conferencing tool available today, and it's not difficult to understand why. Here are some of the reasons we like GoToMeeting and give it high marks:

  1. It is very user-friendly.
There is virtually no learning curve to start using the program, and there are no servers to set up or any similar hassles. The program literally installs in minutes, and you can be up and running in no time.

In addition, GoToMeeting ran smoothly and problem-free on the many computers we tested it on. In the rare event that there is a technical issue, 24/7 support is available by phone.

  2. GoToMeeting is versatile.
The program is compatible with both PCs and Macs, and attendees can even join a conference using a mobile device such as a smartphone or an iPad. Apps are always free for attendees. To listen to the conference, people can use either their computer speakers or a regular phone (call-in numbers are provided when the conference is set up).

  3. It sports many cool features.
GoToMeeting has many features available to both the conference host as well as the attendees. These include things such as video and audio integration, the ability to switch presenters, desktop sharing, multi-monitor support and drawing tools. You can record all conferences and make them available later for people who are unable to attend the meeting. As mentioned above, you can also listen to meetings on your computer or over the phone.

  4. It is relatively affordable compared to other options.
Attendees never have to pay a dime. To host conferences, you have to pay a monthly fee as long as you use the software. However, you are able to conduct as many meetings as you like at no additional cost. The price per meeting can therefore be negligible if you host a large number of meetings.

On the other hand, if you only plan to host a handful of meetings a year, you might find a cheaper alternative, or even get away with just using the GoToMeeting free trial.

The downside to GoToMeeting is that it can only host a maximum of 100 attendees. It is therefore not the right tool for huge seminars or events, but more suitable for small collaborations or training sessions between coworkers and clients.

If you need to run a seminar with more than 100 attendees, you can try GoToWebinar, a sister product that can host up to 1000 attendees. GoToWebinar is similar to GotoMeeting for the most part, but includes additional features that allow you to better manage a large group of attendees, such as the ability to conduct polls and have attendees '"raise hands."
